Playing Outside

These were from last weekend. I probablly should've posted them sooner, since I had posted them on Myspace and Facebook, in the beginning of the week, but I just never got around to it. Abri and I were actually able to spend the whole day with my hubby (which is a rare occasion during tax season.) So, we all headed out, to test out some of Abri's new summer toys. Abri and daddy even flew her new Elmo kite. She had fun playing outside and getting to spend some much needed, quality time with Daddy.

I Wanna Be A Cowboy

My oldest brother decided to pay us a visit this past Sunday. He informed us that he would be riding a bull this coming weekend and was trying out all his new gear he had purchased for the occasion. Normally my brother shoots me evil glances when I try to take a photo of him, but apparently the sunny day had brightened his mood and I was able to snag a couple quick photos of him.

I must apologize for my lack of posts this week. It's been a busy week. As you can tell, my blog is still a work in progress. I do have good news, though. My website is finally LIVE! I'm still tweaking it a little bit and I will definately be updating the galleries as the weather starts to warm up and I'm doing more shoots, but here's the link:

In other news, I'm officially registered to attend "The I Photoshop People Tour." I'm really excited to learn some new tricks and tips, especially when it comes to Photoshop. I'll be attending the workshop with a friend/fellow photographer, so I know we're going to both have a great learning experience.

Sleeping Beauty

Tommorow, we're finally having my daughter's 2nd Birthday Party. Her birthday was actually 3 weeks ago, but in order for my mom to be able to come to the party, we had to push it back a few weeks, unitll she was able to fly home. Her party theme is the Disney Princesses, so I decided, the title and photo below would be appropiate.

Erin is a model that I was fortunate enough to work with. I love shooting with models, because it really is a different kind of shoot, than your typical portrait session. Erin was so much fun, and I couldn't have asked for anyone easier to work with.

Reconstruction

Just so you all know, I'm in the process of trying to change my blog. Unfortunately, I'm not exactly web-design savvy, so please be patient. You will also notice, that I'm in the process of changing everything from J. Marie photography to Jackelyn Marie Photography, due to the fact that there is another J. Marie photography already in existence, and that's just too confusing. I've also been working on a new border design for my blog images, which you'll be able to see on the image at the end of this post, so feel free to let me know what you think about it. I have finished my website, also. Unfortunately, I'm having issues with the hosting company. I will get the link posted, though, as soon as it goes live. Well, I'll leave you with a photo, as promised! :-)
